2022 Travelers Championship
June 23, 2022 6:45 am EDT
This week, the PGA Tour travels to Connecticut for the 2022 Travelers Championship.
Before I discuss my favorite golf bets for this week’s PGA Tour event let’s take a look at the golf course the field will play and some additional facts that I feel are relevant to those that will be placing bets on the 2022 Travelers Championship.
The 2022 Travelers Championship will be played at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Connecticut. The golf course is a par 70 that measures 6,852 yards. This course is a tree lined track that features only a few water hazards. In 2016, a PGA Tour renovation of this golf course directed the removal of over 50 bunkers. This track will present the field with two par five holes. In my opinion, the eventual winner of this week’s event will be a strong ball striker that also is an exceptional putter.
Key Facts
The Travelers Championship made it’s debut on the PGA Tour in 1984.
The average cumulative four round winning score of the three previous winners of the Travelers Championship was 16.33 strokes under par (2021 Harris English -13: 2020 Dustin Johnson -19: 2019 Chez Reavie -17).
