This week, the LPGA travels to Cincinnati, Ohio for the 2022 Kroger Queen City Championship.

Before I discuss my favorite tournament matchup bet for the inaugural Kroger Queen City Championship let’s take a look at the top five players in scoring average on the LPGA Tour that are in this week’s field.

Top Five Golfers in Scoring Average

  1. Minjee Lee 69.19
  2. Hyo Joo Kim 69.41
  3. Brooke Henderson 69.45
  4. Hye-Jin Choi 69.62
  5. Lexi Thompson 69.73

Now that we have determined who the top five golfers with regard to scoring average are on the LPGA Tour (in this week’s field) let’s shift our attention to my favorite tournament matchup bet for this week’s 2022 Kroger Queen City Championship.

Hannah Green -115 over Jessica Korda

Since the beginning of April, Hannah Green has played has played 11 tournaments on the LPGA Tour. In those 11 events just mentioned, Green has accumulated eight top 28 finishes, including an impressive second place result at the 2022 LA Open in April.

It should also be noted that Hannah Green has performed well at major championships this year. Green finished eighth at the 2022 Chevron Championship in April and fifth at the 2022 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship in June.

Hannah Green also checks the box for me when it comes to key player statistics. Green is currently ranked 13th in GIR (greens in regulation-73.80%), 11th in scoring average (69.95), and 14th in total birdies made (235) on the LPGA Tour.

In summary, I am backing Hannah Green to defeat Jessica Korda in this tournament matchup at odds of -115.
