THE CJ CUP

This week, the PGA Tour returns to the state of South Carolina for the CJ CUP.
Before I dive into my favorite golf bet for this week’s PGA Tour event, let’s take a look at the golf course the field will play and some additional facts that I feel are relevant to those that will be placing wagers on the CJ CUP.
The CJ CUP will be played at the Congaree Golf Club in Ridgeland, South Carolina. This golf course is a par 71 that measures approximately 7,655 yards. This golf course was designed by Tom Fazio in 2017. This is without a doubt a very long golf course. However, the course does offer the field two par fours that are reachable off the tee. Water is in play on ten of the 18 holes. This course does not have rough that most traditional golf courses present on the PGA Tour.
Additional Tom Fazio Courses on the PGA Tour
Atunyote Golf Club – Hosted the Turning Stone Championship in 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010.
Corales Golf Club – This golf course has hosted the Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship since 2018.
Now let’s turn our attention to my favorite golf bet for this week’s CJ CUP.
Here is a golfer to consider placing on your card to finish in the top ten.
Christiaan Bezuidenhout +400
The talented South African arrives at this week’s CJ CUP in good form. More specifically, Christiaan Bezuidenhout has accumulated three top 29 finishes in his last four tournaments played (DP World and PGA Tours combined), including an impressive 12th place result at the 2022 BMW Championship in August.
In relation to this week’s current listed CJ CUP field, in the last eight rounds played on the PGA Tour, Christiaan Bezuidenhout ranks fourth in strokes gained tee to green and 13th in GIR (greens in regulation).
In summary, I am backing Christiaan Bezuidenhout to top ten at odds of +400.
