This week, the European Tour travels to Sotogrande, Spain for the 2021 Andalucia Masters.

Before I dive into my favorite golf bets for this week’s European Tour event let’s take a look at the golf course the field will play and some additional facts that I feel are important to those that will be placing bets on the 2021 Andalucia Masters.

The 2021 Andalucia Masters will be played at the Club de Golf Valderrama in Sotogrande, Spain. This golf course is a par 71 that measures approximately 7,028 yards. This track will present this week's field with narrow fairways and rather small undulating bentgrass greens. Let me be clear, if a golfer has aspirations of winning this week's European Tour event, that player will need to find a high number of fairways off the tee and pound a large number of greens in regulation.

Key Facts

The Club de Golf Valderrama golf course was designed by Trent Jones in 1985.

The average cumulative four round winning score of the three previous winners of the Andalucia Masters was 6.66 strokes under par (2020 John Catlin +2: 2019 Christiaan Bezuidenhout -10: 2018 Sergio Garcia -12).

The Andalucia Masters has been played at the Club de Golf Valderrama since the tournament debuted on the European Tour in 2010.

Now let's shift our focus to my favorite golf bets for the 2021 Andalucia Masters!

Here is a golfer to consider placing on your card to finish in the top five.

Richard Bland +500

Bland arrives at this week's Andalucia Masters in outstanding form. More specifically, Bland has accumulated four top nine finishes in his last six tournaments played on the European Tour, including a fourth place result at the 2021 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship two weeks ago.

Richard Bland also checks the box for me when it comes to key player statistics. In relation to this week’s current listed Andalucia Masters field, in the last four weeks of competitive golf played on the European Tour, Bland ranks tenth in GIR (greens in regulation-79.2%) and second in scrambling (77.2%).

Here is a golfer to consider placing on your card to finish in the top ten.

Mikko Korhonen +350

The 41 year old has accumulated two top 20 finishes in his last three tournaments played on the European Tour, including an eighth place result at the 2021 Italian Open last month.

Korhonen is currently ranked 11th in par four scoring (3.97), eighth in bogey avoidance per round (2.32), and 16th in scoring average (69.72) on the European Tour.

It should also be noted that Mikko Korhonen has performed at a high level at this week's European Tour event in the past. Korhonen finished third at the 2018 Andalucia Masters.
