Before I discuss my favorite matchup bet for this week’s LIV Golf event, let’s take a look at a few of the recent player additions to the LIV Golf roster that will be playing at this week’s tournament in Mayakoba.

Sergio Garcia +105 over Paul Casey
Sergio Garcia fired a first round 67 at last week’s 2023 International Series Oman on the Asian Tour en route to an eventual fifth place finish. Garcia also played well in his last LIV Golf event. More specifically, Garcia finished fourth at the LIV Golf Jeddah Invitational in October.
Additionally, I like the fact that Sergio Garcia has posted a quality result in tournament golf at this week’s course in the past. Garcia finished seventh at the 2021 World Wide Technology Championship @ Mayakoba on the PGA Tour.
In summary, I am backing Sergio Garcia to defeat Paul Casey in this tournament matchup bet.
