On Thursday the reemerging Toronto Blue Jays try to keep the Los Angeles Angels angry after their sixth loss Wednesday.
LA fell 2-1 at the Texas Rangers in walk-off fashion to ansure that the Angels would be swept. Los Angeles was outhit 9-4 and had the only error courtesy of Erick Aybar's poor fielding. Three home runs were hit, two by Texas and one by the Angels Josh Hamilton during the top of the seventh.

Earlier, Toronto won the rubber match at the Oakland Athletics 5-2 during 10 innings. The Jays were victorious, despite four errors and 3-of-14 hitting with Runners In Scoring Position. Oakland was 0-of-12.
Toronto scored on Brett Lawrie's RBI-single and an A's wild pitch, as well as Jose Bautista's double and Colby Rasmus' single during the 10th. Both the runs registered versus the Blue Jays were unearned off R.A. Dickey (8-11, 4.66 ERA).
Major disappointment Josh Johnson (1-7, 6.08 ERA) tries to salvage his season starting in August against LA, who he hasn't seen yet this season. Versus Johnson, the Angels are 8-of-18 with three RBIs, Albert Pujols 7-of-15 with two RBIs.
On the road, Johnson is 0-4 flopping to the Baltimore Orioles, Cleveland Indians, Detroit Tigers and San Francisco Giants, surrendering 17 runs, 16 earned, during 21.1 frames. The Jays are 0-5 in Johnson's away appearances, as Johnson has fallen in his last five trips to the bump.
Los Angeles changes aces to Garrett Richards (2-4, 4.33 ERA). At Angels Stadium, Richards is 1-2, blanking Detroit 10-0 for seven innings and taking 5-4 and 3-2 defeats to Baltimore and the Seattle Mariners, allowing a run a piece during a frame each. At Toronto June 30, Richards gave up 10 runs, five earned, during 4.1 innings of an 11-2 loss.
The Blue Jays are 11-of-37 as a whole, with six RBIs, two Elvis Andrus', against Richards. LA is in a rut and falling in six of Richards' last seven assignments is justifiable enough for me to take Toronto to conquer the Angels Thursday.
