Minnesota Twins / Houston Astros --- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds

The horrific Houston Astros and Minnesota Twins tangle after frustration ensued for each side Thursday.

Houston blew a 2-0 lead to fall 6-3 at the Baltimore Orioles. Ex-Astro Bud Norris (7-9, 3.89 ERA) conceded solo home runs to Marc Krauss and Brett Wallace before settling down immensely to go six innings. Houston also scored during the top of the eighth via L.J. Hoes' groundout.

Elsewhere, Minnesota was smashed 7-2 in Minneapolis Thursday by the Kansas City Royals. The Twins displayed a flash of brilliance during the third frame to pull within a run, but other than that, Minnesota was awful at the plate. Justin Morneau, who homered, also doubled his way aboard. The Twins had three extra base hits and two singles. Joe Mauer's groundout drove in Brian Dozier prior to Morneau's home run.

Samuel Deduno (7-4, 3.18 ERA) was a hot trade commodity, but Minnesota wasn't willing to give him up. Deduno shoots for his fourth win in a row on Friday at Target Field where he hasn't won since June 27, beating KC with seven one-run innings. Deduno also toppled the Detroit Tigers and Milwaukee Brewers at Target, yielding two and one run during seven frames a piece.

On July 2, however, the New York Yankees knocked in three runs during six innings to dump Deduno 7-3. The Astros have yet to see Deduno, who'll duel with Dallas Kuechel (5-5, 4.63 ERA) in Game One.

Keuchel is just 2-2 on the road, defeating the Los Angeles Angels and Toronto Blue Jays, despite surrendering eight runs during 14.1 frames. In Keuchel away losses, the Chicago Cubs and Seattle Mariners punched in five runs, four earned, during 12 innings. The Twins have also not faced Keuchel before. This sets up to be a competitive game, however, if the game's a blowout I think it will be Houston taking it under the chin.
