The Colorado Rockies got the win on Friday against the Pirates but they were unable to follow it up on Saturday. Troy Tulowitzki, Dexter Fowler, and Michael Cuddyer each had hits as the Rockies scored two runs on six hits. Starting pitcher Jorge De la Rosa allowed six hits and three earned runs, while striking out three over 4.0 innings to take the loss and fall to 10-6 on the year. For Sunday’s game, the Rockies start Juan Nicasio who was hit hard and lost in his last start. For the season, Nicasio has allowed 107 hits and 57 earned runs, while striking out 75 over 104.1 innings for a 6-5 record and a 4.92 ERA.

Pittsburgh is 8-3 in their last 11 home games, 24-8 in their last 32 games as a home favorite, and 9-19 in Burnett’s last 28 starts. Colorado is 5-2 against the NL Central, 1-5 in their last six road games, and 2-5 in Nicasio’s last seven starts.

Burnett has had some rough luck, but he usually faces tougher matchups and in this one, he looks like he will be back on the winning side of things.
