The National League East-leading Atlanta Braves try following up a division road sweep with another at the Washington Nationals on Monday.
Washington was a win away from sweeping the Milwaukee Brewers at Miller Park Sunday. Unforunately for the Nats Washington couldn't hang on to a 4-1 lead. Milwaukee stormed past the Nationals due to a five-run sixth inning. Adam LaRoche and Anthony Rendon went deep for the visitors who scored first on Kurt Suzuki's RBI-single.

Later in the day Atlanta canned the Philadelphia Phillies 4-1 after hard-fought 6-4 and 5-4 victories the first few days. The Braves scored via Chris Johnson's single, Jason Heyward's single and Justin Upton's double.
Mike Minor (11-5, 2.75 ERA) seeks his third straight win, but first road victory since June 9 Monday. Minor's last away win was at the Los Angeles Dodgers throwing six one-run innings. At the Chicago White Sox, Kansas City Royals and Miami Marlins since Minor has yielded seven runs, six earned, during 20.1 frames. It so happened Minor's longest road appearance July 21 was a 3-1 loss in Chicago. In five away victories before the Dodgers Minor surrendered five runs during 32.2 innings. At the Detroit Tigers April 28 Minor was spanked for six runs during 6.2 frames.
Last year Minor didn't throw once in Washington versus the Nationals, but saw Washington thrice in Atlanta allowing five runs during 11 innings in two wins and giving up four runs during five frames in an 8-4 Nats victory. Against Minor Washington is 23-of-88 with 11 RBIs, three a piece Danny Espinosa's and Jayson Werth's.
The Nationals send out Stephen Strasburg (5-9, 3.04 ERA) who was great in his last two home outings one still resulting in a 4-2 defeat to the Pittsburgh Pirates. Strasburg conceded a run off of two hits during eight innings and lost.
Strasburg has also been defeated by the Braves, Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals in Washington yielding nine runs, three earned, during 18 frames. In Strasburg home wins the Colorado Rockies, Miami Marlins, Philadelphia and San Diego Padres scored six times during 28 innings. At Atlanta the Nats split 3-2 affairs despite Strasburg not taking a decision either time giving up three runs during eight frames. The Braves are 40-of-128 with 22 RBIs, eight Dan Uggla's, against Strasburg. Atlanta adds to Strasburg's frustration.
