The Milwaukee Brewers and San Francisco Giants play for series control Wednesday after SF took the opener 4-2 and Milwaukee bit back 3-1 Tuesday night.
The Brewers were outhit 6-5, but got help from the Giants who had two errors and left countless runners on base. Milwaukee just left two on base while SF stranded eight. Both teams combined to go 1-of-13 with Runners In Scoring Position. Roger Kieschnick had the lone hit yet didn't get an RBI.

The Giants scored their only run during the bottom of the seventh via Joaquin Arias' groundout. The Brewers brought runs home on Carlos Gomez's home run, Buster Posey's throwing error and Jonathan Lucroy's sacrifice fly.
Madison Bumgarner (11-6, 2.69 ERA) begins Wednesday's affair with Milwaukee. Bumgarner shoots for his fourth winning streak this season, but did not leave with a victory his last two AT&T Park appearances despite yielding a run during 15 innings. On July 6 the Los Angeles Dodgers were toppled 4-2 by Bumgarner scoring twice during seven frames.
The Atlanta Braves, Colorado Rockies and San Diego Padres also scraped in five runs during 19.2 innings versus Bumgarner, 4-1 at AT&T for the season. SF beat the Brewers twice with Bumgarner on the bump last year including at AT&T Park May 5 5-2. Bumgarner surrendered a run during seven frames. Milwaukee is 21-of-88 with five RBIs, three of them Ryan Braun's, against Bumgarner.
The Brewers go back to Tom Gorzelanny (2-4, 2.79 ERA). Milwaukee is 7-9 when Gorzelanny delivers in away games with him just winning his last road outing 7-4 at Colorado. Gorzelanny allowed four runs during 5.1 innings. In two away defeats part of four straight losses overall in July Gorzelanny bled for three runs, two earned, during 7.2 frames at the Arizona Diamondbacks and Washington Nationals.
The Giants saw Gorzelanny for an inning April 16 not scoring once in a 10-8 Brewers victory. Versus Gorzelanny San Francisco is 13-of-70 with six RBIs, a pair Jeff Francouer's and Hunter Pence's. Milwaukee will not put their heads down and if they're able to get out to an early lead like Tuesday the Brewers will win.
