The starting to wilt Tampa Bay Rays try to thwart the Los Angeles Dodgers Friday in LA.
TB lost both games at the Arizona Diamondbacks in their last series, including the finale 9-8 Wednesday. The Rays had two huge innings, scoring three runs during the first inning and four runs during the seventh, to go ahead 3-0 and 8-7.

Matt Joyce's, Yunel Escobar's and Evan Longoria's RBI-doubles drove in five of the runs, while Sam Fuld's two-run single gave Tampa Bay the lead back during the top of the seventh. Kelly Johnson's home run during the fourth got the Rays their only other run.
The Dodgers finally fell on the road to the St. Louis Cardinals Wednesday to snap a 15-game winning streak, but didn't relinquish the series, routing St. L 5-1 Thursday night. Los Angeles struck first on Adrian Gonzalez's sacrifice fly to only see the Cards respond a frame later. A three-run Dodgers fifth, all driven in by A.J. Ellis, stemmed the tide.
LA returns with Chris Capuano (4-6, 4.16 ERA) who is 2-4 at Dodger Stadium. Capuano allowed 24 runs, 21 earned, during 14.2 frames in losses. The Colorado Rockies and Miami Marlins were stymied June 11 and May 12 by Capuano scoring once during 12.2 innings. TB is 6-of-19 with three RBIs, two James Loney's and one Johnson's, versus Capuano.
The Rays rely on David Price (6-5, 3.36 ERA). Tampa Bay has won Price's last four outings. Price prevailed five out of six July starts. On the road, Price is 5-1, only losing 9-3 at Colorado, giving up nine runs, four earned, during 6.2 frames.
In Price's away victories, foes have scored nine runs during 37.1 innings. Los Angeles is 10-of-49 with five RBIs, two Mark Ellis' and Hanley Ramirez's, against Price. The Dodgers are in trouble if they can't exploit Price for at least one frame.
