The Baltimore Orioles look to play a complete game Wednesday after letting not one, but two games slip at the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Tuesday's tilt was even more disappointing than Monday with Baltimore blowing a 3-0 lead. The O's scored during the fourth and fifth frames off of Chris Davis and J.J. Hardy home runs. Arizona however, pulled within a run during the bottom of the seventh after Martin Prado's groundout and Gerardo Parra's HR. Paul Goldschmidt's ninth-inning blast tied it as the D-Backs walked off with a victory in hand during the 11th with another Goldschmidt HR.

Arguable the best American and National League pitcher goes head-to-head Wednesday at Chase Field. Chris Tillman (14-3, 3.73 ERA) is 11-1 in his last dozen decisions with Baltimore coming out on top in his two no-decisions. Tillman's last outing was especially sensational allowing a run during eight innings at the San Francisco Giants in a 5-2 Orioles victory.
Tillman is 7-1 on the road with Baltimore going 9-1 in his away appearances. Tillman has surrendered a grand total of 14 runs, 13 earned, during 45 frames in road wins. Tillman's only really shaky away start came July 6 at the New York Yankees giving up five runs during 5.1 innings in a 5-4 loss. Arizona is 10-of-38 with an Aaron Hill RBI against Tillman.
The Diamondbacks respond with Patrick Corbin (12-3, 2.36 ERA) who is eager to get off the schnide. Corbin hasn't won in four trips. After winning 8-4 at the Chicago Cubs June 2 Corbin went five consecutive outings without a decision and more than a month without a victory. Corbin however responded well to his first loss of the year July 2 by stifling three visitors for three runs during 20.2 frames.
On July 28 however the San Diego Padres beat Corbin 1-0 driving in a run during eight innings of work. Corbin also surrendered four runs during 23.1 frames in three June no-decisions at Chase Field. Corbin conceded seven runs, six earned, during 32 innings in his first five starts at Chase all wins. Steve Pearce of the O's is 1-of-3 versus Corbin. I've been all over Arizona the first two days. It's time to abandon ship.
