The Toronto Blue Jays square off with the Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field on Sunday in a rubber game. TB took the opener 5-4 while Toronto rebounded to win 6-2 on Saturday.

Toronto also scored on Alex Torres’ (4-0, 1.35 ERA) thiteming error, Edwin Encarnacion’s groundout and Brett Lawrie’s RBI-single. The Rays conversely just scored via Ben Zobrist’s sacrifice fly and Yunel Escobar’s single.
Tampa Bay trots out Chris Archer (6-5, 3.10 ERA) next. After the Rays won all five of Archer’s July starts, TB hasn’t been able to win once when he’s gone in August. Archer has allowed 10 runs during 13.2 innings, taking defeats his two longer outings at home.
At Tropicana in July though the Houston Astros and Minnesota Twins went down 5-0 and 4-1 because they were only able to drive in an unearned run off of Archer during 15 frames. The Blue Jays in Toronto July 21 lost 4-3 to Archer just marking in a run during seven innings. The Jays are 5-of-25 with a Josh Thole RBI versus Archer.
Toronto turns to Todd Redmond (1-1, 3.62 ERA) on Sunday. The Blue Jays are 3-5 in Redmond’s trips to the rubber crumbling three of four times on the road. The only time Toronto was able to win was 7-3 July 13 at the Baltimore Orioles.
Redmond gave up three runs during four frames. On May 31 Redmond conceded a run during 3.2 innings at the San Diego Padres to take a loss. The Rays are in good position to bounce back Sunday.
