After battling National Central rivals the St. Louis Cardinals and Milwaukee Brewers collide at Miller Park on Monday to begin a new series.
Milwaukee was slammed 9-1 by the Cincinnati Reds on Sunday. Had the Brewers won it would have been three out of four victories over Cincinnati; Milwaukee however couldn't hit worth a lick ending up with four hits.

Khris Davis had half of the hits including a fifth-inning home run. Yuniesky Betancourt was the only Brewer to be up to bat with Runners In Scoring Position going 0-of-2.
Elsewhere St. L took the final two games at the Chicago Cubs this weekend with pitching exhibitions. On Sunday the Cards won 6-1. St. Louis tallied three runs during the top of the second and seventh for all of their runs.
Jon Jay's double, Matt Carpenter's single and Jay's home run provided the scoring. Adam Wainwright (14-7, 2.66 ERA) was brilliant through seven innings striking out 11 batters.
The Cardinals call Shelby Miller (11-8, 2.97 ERA) to the mound next. Miller's last win came on the road at the Reds conceding three runs during five frames. Miller however if 5-5 for the season in 10 away appearances.
Miller is 2-0 versus Milwaukee yielding a run off of eight hits and one walk during 13 innings. The Brewers are 8-of-42 with a Jonathan Lucroy RBI against Miller who let in 10 runs, eight earned, during 29 frames altogether in road victories.
Marco Estrada (5-4, 4.71 ERA) tries to pick up his third winning streak this year on Monday. Estrada however hasn't won at Miller Park since May 24 beating the Pittsburgh Pirates 2-1 with seven one-run innings. Estrada was hurt in an ugly four-frame five-run affair in Milwaukee June 3. The Oakland Athletics downed Estrada 10-2.
St. L similarly smashed Estrada for eight runs during 3.1 innings May 5 to win 10-1 at Miller. The Brewers however beat the Cards twice in St. Louis in Estrada's no-decisions. The Cardinals scored seven times during 11.2 frames off of Estrada who St. L is 41-of-122 with 23 RBIs versus. Matt Holliday has five RBIs on 6-of-15 batting and will lead the Cards to a win.
