The awful but competitive Houston Astros and Chicago White Sox clash in Chicago Monday.
The Sox won the final two at home versus the Texas Rangers. On Sunday Chicago prevailed by never trailing tallying two runs during the bottom of the third off of Gordon Beckham's sacrifice fly. A Texas error allowed the second run to come home.

The Rangers squared things up minutes later, but Jor Danks' home run put the White Sox bck ahead. Adam Dunn's RBI-single and Josh Phegley's HR wrapped up the scoring during the sixth and seventh frame.
Houston meanwhile dropped the finale against the Toronto Blue Jays 2-1. The Astros were on their way to a sweep before handing Toronto a win. Houston pitchers walked four Jays during the ninth inning including the game-tying run.
The Astros had led 1-0 during the bottom of the second on Jake Elmore's double play. Dallas Keuchel (5-7, 4.82 ERA) threw seven scoreless frames.
Brett Oberholtzer (3-1, 2.91 ERA) tries to continue impressing Houston on Monday with another gem. Oberholtzer's last four games have been seven, seven, 6.2 and six innings of brilliance conceding zero, zero, two and three runs. Three of those four starts were victories for Oberholtzer who toppled the Baltimore Orioles and Los Angeles Angels by conceding three runs during 13 frames.
Oberholtzer's first bit of road action came at Texas July 5 seeing in a run during 3.1 innings in a 10-5 Astros defeat. On April 21 the Cleveland Indians scored twice during two frames off of Oberholtzer who duels with Andre Rienzo (1-0, 3.56 ERA). Rienzo will make his sixth start Monday yet only took a decision in his last outing at the Kansas City Royals yielding two runs during six innings to win 5-2. Chicago was 0-3 in Rienzo's away appearances prior.
At U.S. Cellular Field Aug. 10 the Minnesota Twins managed four runs during 5.1 frames off Rienzo in a 5-4 Sox victory. You can go either way. I'll take Chicago who is nearly .500 at home instead of Houston who is 22-42 on the road.
