The San Francisco Giants and Colorado Rockies continue their climbs up the standings Monday in Colorado.
SF won 4-0 on Sunday against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Giants had triple the hits than Pittsburgh 9-3. San Francisco scored during the bottom of the third on Buster Posey's RBI-single. The Giants drove in three runs during the eighth via Pablo Sandoval's triple and Joaquin Arias' double.

The Rockies won the rubber match 4-3 at the Miami Marlins on Sunday thanks to Nolan Arenado's RBI-double during the top of the sixth. Colorado and Miami were tied up before that despite the Rockies scoring thrice during the second inning. Ryan Wheeler's single, Jordan Pacheco's lineout and Jonathan Herrera's sacrifice fly accounted for the first three runs of the game.
Juan Nicasio (7-6, 4.79 ERA) lowers his head next on the mound for Colorado who is 5-5 at Coors Field when he starts. Nicasio's 3-1 at Coors only falling to the Houston Astros 7-5 May 30 conceding five runs during five frames. The Chicago Cubs, New York Mets and SF weren't as lucky compiling five runs during 16 innings against Nicasio in three Coors Field victories.
The Giants couldn't get in a run May 19 versus Nicasio or whoever else the Rockies threw out to the hill. A week later Nicasio allowed two runs during five frames in San Francisco, a 6-5 Colorado loss. At AT&T Park April 9 Nicasio yielded four runs during five innings to the Giants who won 9-6. SF is 15-of-61 with four RBIs, two Hunter Pence's, versus Nicasio.
The Giants turn to Barry Zito (4-9, 5.63 ERA) next. Zito is 0-7 on the road falling at the Milwaukee Brewers, Philadelphia Phillies, Pittsburgh Pirates, Rockies twice, San Diego Padres and Toronto Blue Jays by surrendering 42, 39 earned, during 29.1 frames.
San Francisco is 2-10 in Zito's 12 away appearances this year. Colorado beat Zito 5-0 and 4-1 at Coors May 19 and June 28. The Rockies were blanked 10-0 April 10 by Zito and the Giants. On May 25 in SF Zito took a six-inning four-run no-decision in a 6-5 Colorado loss. Against Zito the Rockies are 68-of-241 with 22 RBIs, 10 Carlos Gonzalez's.
