The Seattle Mariners and Houston Astros hook up for Game Two in Houston after Seattle was able to snap a six-game skid 3-2.
The M's led 3-0 after the top of the fourth thanks to Nick Franklin and Franklin Gutierrez home runs. Houston cut Seattle's three-run lead to two during the bottom of the fourth with Jason Castro's RBI-double. Brett Wallace's HR the next frame trimmed the Mariners' advantage to a run. Both teams were 0-for with Runners In Scoring Position. The Astros were 0-of-5.

Brad Peacock (3-4, 5.67 ERA) is thrown out by Houston next. Peacock's flipped the course of his season the last month, going 2-1 and winning his last two starts after beginning the year 1-3, with all of those decisions coming in April. Three brief outings of three-run seven-inning baseball came in between, all on the road. The Astros won two of those three games.
At Minute Maid Park, though, Peacock is 1-2, falling to the Oakland Athletics and Seattle, conceding nine runs during 8.2 frames. The M's marked in seven runs during 4.1 innings alone to prevail 7-1. At Seattle April 10, Peacock pulled out an 8-3 victory, yielding three runs during five frames. On Aug. 24, Peacock won 8-5 against the Toronto Blue Jays, who piled in four runs during 5.2 innings. The Mariners are 11-of-37 with seven RBIs, a pair each from Jesus Montero and Kyle Seager, versus Peacock.
Seattle next sends out 21-year-old Taijuan Walker from Shreveport, Louisiana. Walker was a 2010 first-round 43rd selection. The M's are hoping he's the next coming of Felix Hernandez (12-8, 2.97 ERA). I'm just eager to see what the worst Major League Baseball team does to possibly the biggest American League pitching prospect of 2013.
Walker was getting action with Triple-A Tacoma. As bad as Houston is, they are not in the Triple-A, at least yet. I like the Astros to win and I think if Houston doesn't drive in three or more runs off of Walker, Bud Selig should demote the Astros.
