The Milwaukee Brewers and Chicago Cubs get together for a Sunday afternoon tilt at Wrigley Field.
Milwaukee proved how unpredictable this game can be when they were kicked around Friday with their best pitcher on the mound and then sent a rookie with no success to the hill and won. I can't explain it, as John Hellweg allowed three runs over six innings to get his first win. The Brewers offense took advantage of wildness on the mound by Chicago pitching with seven BB and five hits and a three run triple off the bat of Logan Schafer. Yovani Gallardo is scheduled to take the hill verus the Cubs on Sunday, looking to continue his strong pitching of late. Gallardo has been up and down in 2013 but has recorded four straight quality starts.

As I said Friday, everybody has hit Hellwig, so this is a game the Cubs normally lose and just like that Chicago can't score. No going out on the limb or huge display of psychic ability because this is something I've seen from this team many times and is a reason I generally avoid betting their games, if possible. Starter Jake Arrieta struggled through five innings of work with four runs given up which turned out to be game over. The offense mustered six hits and received a two run bomb by Luis Valbuena and a solo jack from Brian Bogusevic. The Cubs send Scott Baker to the mound for his first start since 2011 as he has been recovering from elbow surgury and a muscle strain in his arm. Baker went 8-6 with a 3.14 ERA in 21 2011 starts.
Here we go again...Gallardo seems to have the advantage on the mound with Baker an unknown for me. I'm looking at the Brewers, which means the Cubs probably win.
