The Colorado Rockies and San Francisco Giants continue their series at AT&T Park Tuesday.
The Rockies must have that sinking feeling as they squandered a late lead at San Francisco and have now dropped four in a row and have fallen to 4th in the National League West after losing seven of ten. The offense has really taken a step back in the defeats and that trend continued Tuesday in a 3-2, ten inning loss to the Giants. Jhoulys Chacin allowed a run in seven innings before Matt Belisle gave up the tying run in the 8th and Adam Ottavino lost it in the 10th. The Rockies managed an RBI single by Troy Tulowitzki and a sacrifice fly and nothing else. The Rockies give the ball to Jorge De La Hoya to even the series with San Francisco Tuesday. De La Hoya has been the Rockies best hurler with a 16-6 record and 3.31 ERA while Colorado is 20-9 in his starts.

San Fancisco has suffered through a disappointing season by any standard as they currently occupy the National League West basement after dominating the division the last few years. Neither the offense or pitching has been consistently strong in 2013 although the arms have done a decent job the past few weeks while the runs continue to be scarse. The work on the mound saved the Giants Tuesday with Tim Lincecum allowing both runs through eight frames with Buster posey going deep and driving in two runs before Brandon Belt smacked a walk off RBI single in the 10th. Ryan Vogelsong toes the rubber in game number two of the series with the visiting Rockies Tuesday night. Vogelsong has not enjoyed a strong 2013 campaign but has done better over his last three with a 1-1 mark and 3.38 ERA.
Colorado looks resigned to their fate which is the basement where they'll find themelves with another loss. If they are going to steal one this would be it with their best pitcher going but I'm honestly not confident...
