The Los Angeles Angels hope to keep the runs flowing versus the Toronto Blue Jays on Wednesday.
The Angels can be a bit unpredictable, but few could argue the team has been playing as well as they have the majority of 2013. So it wasn't surprising Los Angeles knocked off Toronto in the series opener, however, winning by a 12-6 count over a hot club on the road did open some eyes. Jerome Williams struggled with all six runs plated on nine hits over five innings, but that was still a winning performance thanks to the LAA 18 hit attack. The Angels played some long ball with Erick Aybar, Josh Hamilton, Chris Iannetta and Mike Trumbo all clubbing homers. Veteran lefty CJ Wilson shoots for his third straight win when he takes the hill in the Rogers Centre. Wilson defeated Texas 6-5 last time out, with four runs plated over 6.2 innings pitched.

Just when I was commending the Blue Jays with their strong play over the past several weeks, they laid a huge egg for the fans at the Roger Centre. We'll see how they respond, but one game doesn't cool off a hot streak that has seen Toronto victorious in eight of eleven. Veteran Mark Buehrle had been throwing as well as ever, but that ended with a thud, as he was slammed for eight runs on 12 hits through four frames, with Chad Jenkins allowing three more. The Blue Jays rallied from a 4-0 hole to tie it at 4-4 before things went south for good, despite an Anthony Gose grand slam and Rajai Davis solo blast. Knuckleballer RA Dickey gets the call to the mound Wednesday against the visiting Angels. Dickey is riding a three-game winning streak, where he has given up six runs covering 20.2 frames.
I think the Angels have a little swagger in the last few weeks, but if Dickey has his knuckle ball going, perhaps he can bring them back down to earth after Tuesday's score fest...
