The Line: Los Angeles Dodgers -163 / San Francisco Giants +157 --- Over/Under: 7.5 See the Latest Odds
The San Francisco Giants evened up their series with the Dodgers at one game apiece on Friday, and the Giants would love to keep that momentum going heading into Saturday.
The Los Angeles Dodgers fell to the San Francisco Giants on Friday 4-2. The Dodgers basically have their division locked up, but still, as we have seen in the past it is important to head into the playoffs with momentum, so I’m sure the Dodgers want to keep in the win column. Los Angeles will be sending out Ricky Nolasco on Saturday against the Giants. Nolasco has nine career starts against San Francisco, earning a record of 5-3 with an ERA of 2.09 and a WHIP of 1.05. Last time out Nolaco earned a no-decision against the Giants, pitching five and two thirds innings, and giving up three runs off of nine hits.

The San Francisco Giants pulled off the upset over the Dodgers on Friday, and now have evened up this four game series. The Giants had Madison Bumgarner on the mound against the Dodgers, and Bumgarner was solid, lasting six full, and giving up two runs off of five hits. The Giants hope for a similar performance on Saturday when Tim Lincecum heads to the mound against Los Angeles. Lincecum has 21 appearances and 20 starts against the Dodgers, with a record of 8-6, and ERA of 2.86 and a WHIP of 1.33. In Lincecum’s last outing against the Dodgers, the Giants starter lasted five and one thirds innings, giving up four runs off of ten hits en route to the loss.
As a road underdog this season of +150 to +175, the Giants are just 2-5, while the Dodgers are 10-5 as a home favorite of -150 to -175.
I took the Giants last night and it paid off for me. I can’t do it two nights in a row. I really don’t like this pitching matchup for the Giants as Nolasco has been on fire lately, and Lincecum is really struggling. Lincecum has an ERA of 3.20 and a WHIP of 1.373 in his last three starts, while Nolasco is 3-0 with an ERA of 0.87 and a WHIP of 0.677 in his last three outings.
I hate laying this kind of juice, but really in this spot it looks like the best play.
