Breandon Phillips, Ryan Ludwick, and Jack Hannahan all had hits as the Reds scored one run on four hits. Starting pitcher Mat Latos allowed five runs and seven hits in 6.2 innings to take the loss. For Saturday’s game, the Reds start Homer Bailey, who is 10-10 on the season with a 3.39 ERA and 2-0 in his last three starts with a 0.84 ERA.
Milwaukee is 3-5 at home against a team with a winning record, 2-4 as a home underdog, and 2-6 in their last eight home games.
