The St Louis Cardinals and Milwaukee Brewers are poised for another battle at Miller Park on Saturday.
The Cardinals have been in a pressure cooker called the National League Central, but continue to come through in the clutch, with a 7-6 victory over Milwaukee in ten innings Friday. The Redbirds not only sit atop the division and stretched their lead over Pittsburgh, who blew a late lead to Cincinnati. Starter Shelby Miller allowed four runs in six innings with Edward Mujica giving up two. The bats pounded out 16 hits and walked seven times with Matt Adams, Matt Holliday and Carlos Beltran combining for seven RBI's. The Cardinals turn to Lance Lynn to control the Milwaukee offense on Saturday. Lynn has had his share of struggles as of late, but has been very good in consecutive no decisions where he has given up two runs over 12.1 frames.

Milwaukee has not had much go their way in 2013, but would like nothing better then to beat St Louis and throw a Monkey Wrench into their postseason plans. The Brew Crew came up just short in knocking off their division rivals Friday, as a big night at the plate still wasn't enough to overcome some shoddy pitching. John Hellweg threw one of his better games, with a pair of runs allowed over five frames before the relief corps suffered a meltdown, with Michael Blazek taking the loss with a 10th inning run plated on a sac fly. The offense was the Aramis Ramirez show, with a homer among his three hits that saw him drive in five runs. Yovani Gallardo toes the rubber Saturday, hoping to slow the Cardinals postseason drive. Gallardo had thrown five straight quality starts before getting rocked for five runs in six frames against Cincinnati.
To be honest, both guys have not been good in this matchup, but with that being true, I'd rather take the plus odds if I bet this...
