The Chicago White Sox and the Toronto Blue Jays face off on Monday in Chicago as they begin their final week of baseball for 2013.
The Chicago White Sox lost just about every close game they were in and blew a lot of late leads, which were all part of what has led to them having the third worst record in baseball this season. The White Sox are 3-7 in their last 10 games, 35-41 at home this season,, and they are 33 games under .500 for the season. As a team the White Sox are hitting .250 with Avisall Garcia hitting .319, Alexei Ramirez hitting .282, and Gordon Beckham hitting .269. For game one, the White Sox start Jose Quintana who is 8-6 with a 3.49 ERA for the season and 1-1 with a 1.80 ERA in his last three starts.

The Toronto Blue Jays loaded up their roster in the off-season, but it they have to show for it is a last place finish in the A.L. East. The Blue Jays are 4-6 in their last 10 games, 33-44 on the road this season, and they are 13 games under .500. As a team, the Blue Jays are hitting .252, with Jose Reyes hitting .292, Adam Lind hitting .293, and Colby Rasmus hitting .276. For game one against the White Sox the Blue jays start J.A. Happ who is 4-6 with a 4.82 ERA for the season and 1-1 with a 2.12 ERA in his last three starts.
Chicago is 8-19 in their last 27 games, 2-7 in their last nine home games, and 4-1 in Quintana’s last five starts as a home favorite. Toronto is 7-3 in their last 10 road games, 5-1 in their last six games against the A.L. Central, and 1-5 in Happ’s last six starts.
Both of these teams have struggled and I look for the White Sox to get the best of this one at home.
