The playoff hopeful Cleveland Indians head to Target Field to face the Minnesota Twins.
Cleveland is playing their best baseball at just the right time with a 7-2 decision over the visiting White Sox being their ninth win in eleven contests. It is too late to win the American League Central but the Wild Card is right within their grasp. Danny Salazar picked up the win with both runs given up over 5.1 frames while whiffing eight. The bats made that a winning effort with anine hit attack that saw Nick Swisher club a two run homer with Asdrubel Cabrera singling in two more. Zach McAllister is scheduled to be on the mound to face Minnesota on Thursday. McAllister has won consecutive outings where he allowed a pair of runs on ten hits covering 11.2 innings pitched.

Minnesota has been in fade mode for quite some time with the same issues that plague many teams in that their offense hasn't been consistent with the work on the mound following suit which their record alludes to. The offense was silent in a 1-0 loss to Detroit Wednesday which squandered a great performance from Kevin Correia who was touched for the lone run on seven hits through seven frames. When the Twins pitch well they have to win but three hits and six walks wasn't enough to get on the scoreboard. Rookie left hander Andrew Albers takes the ball on Thursday with the task of cooling of the Indians. Albers has dropped back to back decisions where he has given up seven earned runs in 8.2 innings.
I haven't liked what I've seen from McAllister until lately and I give him the edge over Albers who has thrown the ball well at times so essentially I like the Indians offense the most here...
