The Cleveland Indians look to wrap up the Wild Card against the Minnesota Twins on Friday.
Cleveland stayed atop the Wild Card race with a 5-1 victory at Target Field on Saturday. It seems like it was just another day at the office for the Indians who won number nine in a row behind strong work on the mound and at the plate. Scott Kazmir dominated the Twins hitters with the lone run allowed with eleven strike outs in six innings. The Tribe posted seven hits and walked twice with Carlos Santana smacking a two run bomb, while Michael Bourn knocked in two more. A red hot Ubaldo Jimenez toes the rubber in the final game of the regular season versus Minnesota. Jimenez has one poor start over his last ten trips to the mound where he has gone 4-4.

Minnesota has been on a downward spiral for quite awhile and it continued with Saturday's defeat at Target Field. The Twins haven't been able to get their arms and bats on the same page for quite awhile which led to defeats in nine of ten. Neither unit stood out Saturday with starter Cole DeVries allowing all five runs on six hits through five innings to absorb the loss. The offense mustered six hits and walked three times with Eric Fryer driving in a 4th inning run that cut the Indians lead to 2-1. The Twins end the 2013 campaign with left hander Scott Diamond on the bump who will try to cool off the surging Indians. Diamond is coming in off a 4-2 defeat to Detroit with four runs allowed over 6.1 frames.
To make a long story short, I feel that going against Cleveland is more dangerous then stepping in front of a truck which don't think I can do...
