The Los Angeles Dodgers host the Atlanta Braves in game number four of their NLDS on Monday.
Atlanta finds themselves on the brink of elimination following a 13-6 loss to to Los Angeles in game three of their NLDS. The Dodgers bats proved to be too much in this one with Atlanta taking a 2-0 lead in the first only to find themselves behind 10-4 by the 4th. Starter Julio Teheran allowed six runs on eight hits in 2.2 frames with Alex Wood charged with four unearned runs over 2.1 innings. The Bravos offense was behind the eight ball and never were never able to get the team back in the game on ten hits and four walks with Chris Johnson leading the way with a pair of RBI's while Jason Heyward slammed a two run bomb in the 9th. Atlanta sends veteran Freddy Garcia out to the bump to face the dangerous Dodgers Monday. Garcia is looking to duplicate his last three performances where he gave up four runs over 19.2 frames.

Los Angeles is on the verge of advancing to the NLCS following game three's offensive explosion which reminded me of their second half hot streak when losses were few and far between. The team appeared to have an edge on the mound with Hyun-Jin Ryu in game three but he had nothing going with all four runs given up on six hits over three innings pitched. That turned out to be a non worry with the LAD pounding out 14 hits and walking three times that saw Carl Crawford pace the offense with three RBI's while four others drove in a pair of runs apice. Overall six players scored and seven drove in runs. The Dodgers are hoping Ricky Nolasco finds the groove versus the visiting Braves in game four of the NLDS. Nolasco has really struggled in his last three outings with eleven runs given up in 12 innings.
I really don't like the pitching match up in this one with neither hurler being near the top of their respective rotations. I'm going with the over but the total looks fishy to me and I'm leary of touching it...
