The Cleveland Indians and the Minnesota Twins face off on Saturday in game two of their series in Cleveland.
The Cleveland Indians got off to a slow start on Friday but once they got rolling they got the lead and put the game away in a hurry. Nick Swisher and Yan Gomes each had two hits and a home run and Nyjer Morgan and Lonnie Chisenhall each had two hits as the Indians scored seven runs on 10 hits. Starting pitcher Danny Salazar was hit but he limited the damage on scoreboard allowing seven hits and two earned runs while striking out four over 5.2 innings to not factor in the decision as Josh Outman got the win. For Saturday’s game the Indians start Carlos Carrasco who worked out of the bullpen as well as making seven starts last season. Last season Carrasco was 1-4 with a 6.75 ERA allowing 64 hits and striking out 30 over 46.2 innings of work. The Indians were a playoff team last season and they should compete again this season.
