The Houston Astros look to conclude their series with the Los Angeles Angels with a win Monday.
The Angels had received quality performances on both the mound and at the plate in winning the first two games at Houston. However the Astros turned the tables on them in game three Sunday in a 7-4 victory despite having to face ace Jered Weaver. Weaver was tagged for four homers and five runs over 5.2 inning to fall to 0-2 on the year. The bats totaled eight hits and walked twice but did little til a three run 9th made things interesting with the tying run at the plate. Raul Ibanez and Erick Aybar swung the big sticks with a pair of RBI's each. Veteran left hander CJ Wilson takes the ball in the final game of the series with Houston. Wilson struggled in his first outing in which he dropped an 8-3 decision to Seattle with six runs plated on six hits and a pair of BB in 5.2 innings.

After getting outscored 16-2 in the first two games of their series with the Angels the home crowd finally had something to cheer about on Sunday. Most of the credit goes to starter Scott Feldman who silenced the heavy hitting Angels for seven frames with only a run allowed on three hits before Anthony Bass made things tense in the 9th with three runs scored on four hits in 1.1 innings pitched. The bats put on a display of power not normally seen from the Astros with Jason Castro, Jesus Guzman, Jonatham Villar, Matt Dominguez and Alex Pressley leaving the yard. Jarred Cosart toes the rubber Monday versus the Angels looking to give the Astros a split of the four game set. Cosart received a no decision in a 3-1 defeat to the Yankees last time out in which he tossed five scoreless frames.
Cosart is one of the Astros best and Wilson is always capable but this might come down to the bullpens and if that happens then the Angels might be the way to go. I probably sit this one out because Cosart might not get help from from the pen...
