The San Francisco Giants and the Colorado Rockies face off on Sunday at ATT Park as they closeout their three game series.
The San Francisco Giants and the Colorado Rockies have split the first two games of this series with the Giants winning on Friday and the Rockies winning on Saturday with both of the winning margins being one run. The Giants now trail the Dodgers by a game in the National League West while the Rockies are two games back. Saturday’s game was all about pitching as just one run made it across the plate even though these are the two highest scoring teams in baseball this season. For Sunday’s game the Giants start Tim Hudson who is 2-0 with a 1.15 ERA this season while the Rockies counter with Tyler Chatwood who makes his first start of the year after going 8-5 with a 3.15 ERA last season. With the Dodgers heavily favored to win the NL West neither of these teams can afford to fall to far behind.
USA TODAY Sports
San Francisco is 7-2 in game three of series, 8-3 against a right-handed starter, and 19-7 following a loss. Colorado is 5-0 against a right-handed starter, 17-40 in their last 57 road games, and 2-5 in Chatwood’s last seven road starts. Colorado is 20-42 in the last 62 meetings of these two.
With the total at 7.5 I like this one to stay under as both of these pitcher can take care of business and I don’t see any reason they don’t today.
I also have a play on the winning side and I will post that in the Premium Area as well as on the App.
