The St. Louis Cardinals and the Milwaukee Brewers face off on Tuesday at Busch Stadium for game two of their NL Central series.
The St. Louis Cardinals looked to be on their way to a win and cutting into the Milwaukee Brewers lead in the NL Central on Monday but it wasn’t meant to be as they fell to the Brewers. Matt Holliday had three hits including a home run, Allen Craig had two hits including a home run, and Yadier Molina and Allen Craig each had two hits as the Cardinals scored three runs on 11 hits. Starting pitcher Michael Wacha allowed eight hits and three runs while striking out nine over 6.1 innings to not factor in the decision as Pat Neshek blew the save and Seth Maness took the loss to fall to 0-2 for the season. For Tuesday’s game the Cardinals start Lance Lynn who is coming off of his first loss of the season. For the year Lynn has allowed 28 hits and 11 earned runs while striking out 36 over 30 innings for a 4-1 record and a 3.30 ERA.
