Daniel Shirey-USA TODAY Sports

The San Francisco Giants lead the NL West as they head East for game one in Atlanta. The Giants are 7-6 on the road this season, 7-3 in their last 10 games, and they have a half of a game lead over the Dodgers in the National League West. As a team the Giants are hitting .239 with Angel Pagan hitting .340, Michael Morse hitting .302, and Buster Posey hitting .264. The Giants pitching staff has a 3.24 ERA with the starters at 3.86 and the bullpen at 2.05. For game one at Atlanta the Giants start Tim Lincecum who has two no decisions and a win in his last three starts. For the season Lincecum has allowed 36 hits and 17 earned runs while striking out 27 over 25.2 innings for a 1-1 record and a 5.96 ERA.

Atlanta is 12-6 in their last 18 games, 20-7 in their last 27 home games against a team with a winning road record, and 1-5 in Minor’s last six starts. San Francisco is 6-1 in their last seven games, 7-3 in game one of a series, and 2-6 in Lincecum’s last eight road stats against a team with a winning record. San Francisco is 1-4 in Lincecum’s last five starts against Atlanta.

The Braves are big favorites here but they haven’t shown us anything recently and just aren’t worth this price.
