The Arizona Diamondbacks look to even their series with the Milwaukee Brewers at Miller Park on Tuesday.

I think the Diamondbacks are not even thinking about winning the National League West as their very slow start has the team simply wanting to reach .500 and carry on from there. Arizona has shown some signs of righting the ship but each time they do they lose a few. That trend continued in a serie opening 8-3 defeat at Miller Park wher neither the work on the mound or at the plate was strong. Michael Bolsinger gave up four runs over five frames and was followed by Randall Delgado who was charged with another four runs in an inning. The Snakes had chances to score on ten hits and four free passes but key hits were not on the menu. Aaron Hill led the way with a pair of RBI's with Miguel Montero knocking in the other. Arizona is scheduled to send Josh Collmenter to the hill to face the heavy hitting Brewers. Collmenter struggled in a 5-4 victory versus Colorado with all four runs plated on seven hits including a pair of long balls.

Milwaukee Brewers vs. Arizona Diamondbacks Pick-Odds-Prediction - 5/6/14

Milwaukee is off to a quick start in 2014 but have hit their first rough patch of the season with losses in four of five heading in to Tuesday's bout with visiting Arizona. The bats and arms have struggled in this stretch but put everything together in the series opener. Starter Matt Garza allowed all three runs on eight hits and a pair of free passes in six frames to improve to 3-2. The bats totaled nine hits and seven walks and played a little power baseball with three long balls. Carlos Gomez, Jean Segura and Martin Maldonado went deep and combined for seven RBI's. Marco Estrada toes the rubber Tuesday versus the Diamondbacks hoping to continue his hot start. Estrada has posted a 2-1 record with a 3.13 ERA in six starts covering 37+ innings of work.

Collmenter has fared well in this match up but his team is struggling while Milwaukee and Estrada have been the better combo. Hopefully the Brewers are back on track once again...
