So far this season the Los Angeles Dodgers have fallen short of the expectations of running away with the NL West but they helped their case on Tuesday with a win. Hanley Ramirez had three hits including a home run, Carl Crawford had three hits, and Drew Butera hit a home run as the Dodgers scored eight runs on 14 hits. Clayton Kershaw made his return from the DL allowing nine hits and striking out nine without allowing a run over 7.0 innings. For Wednesday’s game the Dodgers start Dan Haren who is quietly having a solid season. For the season Haren has allowed 37 hits and 10 runs while striking out 34 over 37.2 innings for a 4-0 record and a 2.39 ERA.
Washington is 38-16 as a favorite, 7-3 at home against a team with a winning record and 12-3 in Strasburg’s last 15 starts. Los Angeles is 8-2 in game three of a series, 4-10 as a road underdog, and 5-1 in Haren’s last six starts. Los Angeles is 6-1 in the last seven meetings of these two.
We are getting the Dodgers here as a decent dog and they are well worth the play at this price.
