The New York Yankees look to inch closer to the top of the AL East with a win at Milwaukee.

Even though the Yankees have dropped to second in the American League East they seem to be a better team then the one we saw a year ago. Of course they need to limit the bad times to be a factor in the division race and have done just that with three wins in a row after downing Milwaukee 5-3 in the series opener. Masahiro Tanaka improved to 5-0 with a pair of runs given up on seven hits in 6.1 frames while whiffing seven. The bats mustered only six hits and walked three times with Yangervis Solarteslugging a three run bomb. Veteran left hander CC Sabathia draws the start on Saturday against the dangerous lineup of Milwaukee. Sabathia has struggled in his last two outings with nine runs plated on 19 hits in 8.2 innings.

Milwaukee Brewers vs. New York Yankees Pick-Odds-Prediction - 5/10/14

Milwaukee has hit their first slowdown of the season but thanks to a red hot start they still own the top spot in the National League Central. The Brewers have fallen in seven of nine after Friday's defeat to bring their record to an impressive 22-14. The bats and arms are just not getting on the same page right now and even ace Yovani Gallardo could not save the day with four runs plated on five hits and a trio of free passes through 5.2 innings of work to fall to 2-2. The bats totaled eight hits and walked once but struck out eleven times with Mark Reynolds slamming home run number eight. Kyle Lohse will be on the mound in charge of evening the series with the Yankees. Lohse is one reason the Brewers have been a tough squd with a 4-1 record with 2.72 ERA covering seven starts.

The Yankees might have turned things around and Milwaukee needs too. I never like going against New York when they are dogs but I give a slight nod to Lohse...
