The Cleveland Indians hope to stay hot with consecutive wins at Tampa Bay on Saturday.
Cleveland has yet to get the ball rolling and their record tells that story so after a 6-3 road win at Tampa Bay gave the team four straight victories the question is whether the good times keep going. The Indians received strong work on the mound and at the plate Friday with Corey Kluber allowing just a pair of runs on nine hits over six frames while striking out nine. The bats made that a winning effort with 13 hits with Michael Brantley, Asdrubel Cabrera and Mike Aviles smacking long balls with Aviles accounting for three RBI's. Cleveland hands the ball to Zach McAllister in game two versus Tampa Bay. McAllister comes in off of his best outing in 2014 when he tossed 6.2 scoreless innings in a 1-0 loss (ND) to Minnesota.

I know it's too early for any team in the American League East to be crossed off the list of contenders but every defeat in this division hurts. Tampa Bay has dropped to 5th in the east with four consecutive defeats and losses in five of six overall with neither the arms or bats getting the job done. That was the story of Fridays loss although starter Jake Odorizzi was a bright spot with five shutout frames and eleven strikeouts. The bats had plenty of baserunners on 12 hits but missed out on some opportunities with David DeJesus leading the way with four hits and a pair of RBI's and a run. Left hander Erik Bedard has struggled early on but has been tough in his last two starts. Bedard has allowed a combined two runs on ten hits and four bases on balls over eleven innings pitched.
I don't see enough of an edge in this one that makes me want to run out and bet it. The best I see is Cleveland has won a few games but that doesn't win me over...
