The Colorado Rockies look to end their visit at Great American Ball Park with a victory Sunday.
When Colorado is at the top of their game they hit and score as naturally as breathing. Suffice to say they were at their best Saturday in an 11-2 victory at Cincinnati for their 7th win in ten contests. Lost in the scoring spree was a fantastic outing from Jordan Lyles who allowed both runs on four hits and four BB over six frames. The Rockies offense pounded out 16 hits and walked three times with included five long balls. Corey Dickerson went deep twice and drove in four while Justin Morneau, Charlie Blackmon and Troy Tulowitzki also left the yard. Colorado hands the ball to Juan Nicasio in the final game of their series with the Cincinnati Reds. Nicasio has earned back to back wins with one run allowed on five hits in 12 innings.

I have been waiting like many others for Cincinnati to break loose and start pounding some teams but that will have to wait for another day. The Reds didn't enjoy any success on the mound or at the plate on Saturday against the Rockies who are red hot right now. Alfredo Simon saw a strong start to the season take a hit with five runs plated on three homers in just three innings. The pen didn't fare any better with three relievers charged with another six runs. The Cincy offense had their backs against the wall in this one with just five hits to lean on with Joey Votto supplying his 6th homer as a bright spot. Homer Bailey shoots for his third straight quality start when he takes the ball Sunday versus Colorado. In consecutive outings Bailey has given up six runs on 13 hits and six BB in 14 frames.
I'm not sure what we'll see from Bailey who can win at anytime but if he his not at his best then Colorado is probably going to score some runs...
