The Chicago White Sox go on the road to face AL West leading the Oakland Athletics Monday.
The White Sox have either been winning or losing the past few weeks and need to even out the highs and lows. It was low over the weekend with defeats in three of four following a 5-1 defeat to visiting Arizona. Starter Hector Noesi did a creditable job with three runs scored on eight hits over six innings but Frank Francisco was charged with two runs (one earned) in 1.2 innings which put the game out of reach with the bats struggling. The CWS mustered only four hits with Moises Sierra cracking his first homer. Left hander John Danks toes the rubber looking to duplicate his last outing when he defeated the Chicago Cubs last time out. Danks recorded an 8-3 decision with all three runs plated on four hits in six innings.

Oakland had lost five of six but have since reeled off four consecutive victories with both the arms and bats contributing. The A's routed Washington 9-1 in the final game of their series behind some explosive hitting and dynamite work on the mound. Scott Kazmir was at his best with a four hit shutout over seven innings to get the win with the offense giving him seven early runs. The A's posted 13 hits and walked four times with Derek Norris clubbing a pair of three run homers with Nick Punto logging two hits and three RBI's. Jesse Chavez will be on the bump to open a series with the White Sox. Chavez has generally thrown the ball well but did struggle in an 8-3 loss to Seattle with four runs scored on seven hits in 5.2 innings.
It's tough to go against Oakland when they are hot but Danks has thrown the ball well against them. I don't think their is a wrong side here but the White Sox with Danks have a decent chance...
