Kansas City Royals vs. Colorado Rockies MLB Pick, Odds, Prediction 5/14/14

The Colorado Rockies are in second place in NL West but they didn’t help themselves on Tuesday taking the loss in KC. Nolan Arenado had two hits and Carlos Gonzalez and Troy Tulowitzki each had hits as the Rockies scored one run on five hits. Starting pitcher Franklin Morales allowed eight hits and four runs over 5.0 innings to take the loss and fall to 3-3 for the year. For Wednesday’s game the Rockies start Jhoulys Chacin who is still looking for a win this year. For the season Chacin allowed 12 hits and six runs while striking out six over 11 innings for an 0-1 record and a 4.91 ERA.

Kansas City is 6-2 in game two of a series, 5-13 against the NL West, and 1-4 in their last five home games. Colorado is 4-0 in game two of a series, 16-37 in their last 53 interleague games, and 1-6 in Chacin’s last seven starts. Colorado is 4-2 in the last six meetings of these two.

We have two teams who can swing the bat and I like the over here.
