The Chicago White Sox battle the Houston Astros in the series finale' at Minute Maid Park Sunday.
A late White Sox rally fell just short and a modest two game winning streak ended in a 6-5 defeat at Houston on Saturday. The bats put up solid numbers but the pitching didn't and that fell on the shoulders of Hector Noesi who was charged with all six runs (five earned) on eight hits in six frames including four allowed in the first. The offense did their damage on ten hits and six free passes with five players driving in runs and four scoring. Lefty John Danks gets the call to the mound to face Houston on Sunday afternoon. Danks has generally thrown the ball well outside of two starts and has been better then his 3-3 record and 4.88 ERA says.

Their record might not agree but Houston has a little more bite then in previous seasons and much of their struggles can be traced back to their bullpen so their record could be better. The Astros survived some shaky relief pitching to edge the White Sox Saturday for their third win in four outings. Jarred Cosart picked up the win despite a mediocre effort that saw him allow three runs on seven hits and four bb over five frames while Kyle Farnsworth gave up two more in 2/3 of an inning. The Astros won it on a very productive day at the plate that produced eleven hits with Dexter Fowler and Jason Castro going deep and combining for five RBI's. Houston hands the ball to right hander Brad Peacock who is still looking for win number one when he opposes the White Sox. Peacock brings in an 0-4 record and 5.63 ERA covering 40 innings in five starts.
I like the bats of the White sox first and foremost and I give the edge on the mound to Danks so that being the case I'll side with the visitors...
