The Toronto Blue Jays just have the Rangers number and they showed it again by beating them on Saturday. Jose Bautista, Brett Lawrie, and Kevin Pillar each had two hits as the Blue Jays scored four runs on eight hits. Starting pitcher Mark Buehrle allowed seven hits and two runs while striking out four over 6.1 innings to not factor in the decision as Aaron Loup blew the save, Steve Delabar got the win to go to 3-0 on the season, and Casey Janssen earned his third save. For Sunday’s game the Blue jays start R.A. Dickey who has won his last two starts. For the season Dickey has allowed 50 hits and 27 earned runs while striking out 47 over 53.2 innings for a 4-3 record and a 4.53 ERA.
Texas is 2-9 in their last 11 home games, 1-6 in their last seven games, and 0-6 as a home underdog. Toronto is 7-1 as a favorite, 5-1 in their last six games, and 0-4 in Dickey’s last four road starts. Toronto has won six in a row in Texas.
Dickey isn’t the same pitcher on the road but the Jays just see to own the Rangers so it is just tough to go against the Jays here.
