The St. Louis Cardinals and the Kansas City Royals face off on Tuesday in St. Louis for game two of teir interleague rivalry series.
The St, Louis Cardinals hardly look like the team that have been regulars in the post season as they just aren’t scoring enough runs to win games. On Monday Matt Holliday had two hits and Randal Grichuk had a hit as the Cardinals didn’t score on three hits. Starting pitcher Shelby Miller allowed seven hits and four runs while striking out two over 7.0 innings to take the loss and fall to 6-5 for the season. For Tuesday’s game the Cardinals start Jaime Garcia who had two no decisions in his three starts. For the season Garcia has allowed 16 hits and nine earned runs while striking out 19 over 19.2 innings for a 1-0 record and a 4.12 ERA.
