The Atlanta Braves and the Seattle Mariners face off on Wednesday at Turner Field as they continue their interleague series.

The Atlanta Braves got out to an early lead on Tuesday against the Mariners but they were unable to hold on as they took the loss. B.J. Upton and Evan Gattis each had two hits including a home run and Chris Johnson and Tommy La Stella each had two hits as the Braves scored five runs on 10 hits. Starting pitcher Gavin Floyd allowed 10 hits and five runs, three earned while striking out four over 5.0 innings to get a no decision as Alex Wood took the loss to fall to 0-2 for the year. For Wednesday’s game the Braves start Mike Minor who had a n decision last time out despite allowing just one run. For the season Minor has allowed 37 hits and 14 earned runs while striking out 30 over 37 innings for a 2-3 record and a 3.41 ERA.

Atlanta Braves vs. Seattle Mariners MLB Pick, Odds, Prediction 6/4/14

The Seattle Mariners moved to over .500 for the season as they got the win o Tuesday in Atlanta. John Buck had three hits including a home run, Robinson Cano had three hits, and Stefen Romero hit a home runs as the Mariners scored seven runs on 13 hits. Starting pitcher Erasmo Ramirez allowed eight hits and five runs while striking out four over 3.0 innings to not factor in the decision as Dominic Leone got the win to go to 2-0 for the season and Fernando Rodney earned his 15th save. For Sunday’s game the Mariners start Hisashi Iwakuma who has lost his last two starts. For the season Iwakuma has allowed 37 hits and 15 eanred runs while striking out 29 over 43.2 innings for a 3-2 record and a 3.09 ERA.

Atlanta is 4-1 against the AL West, 9-5 in their last 14 games as a home favorite, and 3-9 in Monir’s last 12 starts. Seattle is 8-1 on the road against a team with a winning record, 2-5 in game two of a series, and 5-2 in Iwakuma’s last seven road starts. Seattle is 1-5 in the last six meetings of these two.

This game looks like a toss up and a quick mover and I expect whichever team can get any offense here will take it but with that being said I like the odds here we are getting with Seattle and Iwakuma.
