The Chicago White Sox and the Kansas City Royals face off on Saturday in Chicago for game two of their series.
The Chicago White Sox fell behind early on Friday and were never able to catch up as they fell to the Royals. Adam Eaton Eaton had two hits and Jose Abreu and Alexei Ramirez added hits as the White Sox scored two runs on seven hits. Starting pitcher Jose Quintana allowed eight hits and six runs while striking out six over 6.0 innings to take the loss and fall to 3-7 for the season. For Saturday’s game the White Sox start Hector Noesi who has won his last two starts. For the season Noesi has allowed 47 hits and 22 earned runs while striking out 38 over 47 innings for a 2-3 record and a 4.21 ERA.

The Kansas City Royals jumped all over the White Sox in the first inning on Friday and never looked back as they coasted to the win. Omar Infante had three hits and Nrichika Aoki and Billy Butler had two hits each as the Royals scored seven run on 12 hits. Starting pitcher Jeremy Guthrie allowed six hits and two runs while striking out nine over 5.2 innings to get the win to go to 3-6 for the season. For Saturday’s game the Royals stat Danny Duffy who has run hot and cold this season. For the year Duffy has allowed 33 hits and 17 earned runs while striking out 33 over 47 innings for a 3-5 record and a 3.26 ERA.
Chicago is 5-2 against the AL Central, 18-38 in game two of a series, and 4-0 Noesi’s last four starts. Kansas City is 5-0 in their last five starts, 2-5 against a team with a losing record, and 11-4 in Duffy’s last 15 starts. Kansas City is 7-1 in their last nine games against Chicago.
This game is just a tough call but I have to believe the Chicago bats wake up here enough to give the White Sox a win.
