The Los Angeles Angels shoot for back to back wins over the Cleveland Indians at Progressive Field.
The Angels need to iron out the highs and lows as they were red hot only to go cold with losses in four of five before thrashing the Indians 9-3 on Tuesday. This effort was the best both the arms and bats have looked in awhile with Matt Shoemaker improving to 4-1 with a pair of runs scored on five hits while striking out ten in eight innings pitched. The LAA pounded out 15 hits with the power game taking center stage with Mike Trout going deep twice and driving in four while Kole Calhoun and Howie Kendrick went deep and drove in two apiece. Left hander CJ Wilson is on the mound looking to control the dangerous Indians offense on Wednesday. Wilson comes off of a 4-3 loss at Atlanta where he allowed all four runs in six frames.

Cleveland has been a bit up and down themselves over the past few weeks with a few wins followed by a few defeats and a few wins again. The Indians are hoping Tuesday's defeat is only a one day thing as they need to pick up ground on the Tigers while AL Central leaders are slumping. Josh Tomlin put his team behind the eight ball with six runs plated on eleven hits including a pair of homers over 5.1 innings to fall to 4-4. The Tribe never got going at the plate with seven hits with Lonnie Chisenhall clubbing his 8th bomb. Justin Masterson toes the rubber in Wednesday's match up with the visiting Angels. Masterson needs a big rebound from a 10-3 loss at Boston where he gave up five runs in just 2.2 innings pitched.
Masterson is a dangerous pitcher and better then we have seen which makes him doubly dangerous. I'm going with Wilson and the visitors but nothing would be a surprise here...
