The Chicago White Sox clash with the Baltimore Orioles in game two of their series at Camden Yards.
The White Sox could really use a winning streak that carries in to the second half of the season before they fall to far off the pace in the American League Central. Chicago appeared to be heading for the win Monday before the pen coughed up the game in a 6-4 defeat. Chris Sale held the Orioles to a pair of runs over six frame but he gave up eleven hits. Ronald Belisario blew the save and took the loss when he served up a walkoff three run homer. Jose Abreu was the offense star with a homer and three RBI's. Left hander Jose Quintana takes the hill against Baltimore Tuesday in search of win number four. Quintana is 3-7 with a 3.87 ERA in 15 outings.

The top of the American League East has become so hotly contested that I view three teams as the leaders with Baltimore being one of them with none taking control of the division. That means any three can take control of the division at any time and the Orioles dramatic rally Tuesday that kept them on the tail of Toronto. Wei-Yin Chen gave up three runs on six hits and a pair of base on balls through 5.2 innings but did not receive a decision. The long ball was decisive for the O's with Caleb Joseph going deep with Adam Jones cracking a two run shot while Chris Davis clubbed a walkoff three run homer in the 9th. Miguel Gonzalez is scheduled to be on the mound in game two of their series with the White Sox. Gonzalez is looking to rebound from a 7-5 defeat at Tampa Bay where he gave up four runs in five innngs.
Quintana can be a tough customer and Gonzalez has been doing well so I'm inclined to side with the team that is more capable at the plate...
