The Line: Los Angeles Dodgers / St. Louis Cardinals --- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The St Louis Cardinals hope to leave the Los Angeles Dodgers with a loss in the final game of their series.
The Cardinals appear to be back in the thick of things once again as they have been playing better. However they took one on the chin Saturday in a 9-1 road loss to the Dodgers. Lance Lynn had been one of the more dependable hurlers for the Redbirds but he didn't have his best stuff with seven runs plated on nine hits over two innings of work. That was game over with the offense mustering four hits and walking twice with Matt Carpenter accounting for the scoring with his third homer. Shelby Miller is scheduled to start the final game of their series with the Dodgers on Sunday. Miller had back problems in a 10-5 defeat at Coors Field that limited him to only 2.2 innings of work.

The sound San Francisco is hearing is the footsteps of the Dodgers who have been winning while they have been struggling. Los Angeles won their 8th in eleven contests after routing the visiting Cardinals on Saturday. Zack Greinke was in top form with just four hits allowed including a solo jack through seven innings pitched while striking out ten. The Dodgers pounded out ten hits with Juan Uribe leading the way with a pair of RBI's while seven players knocked in runs and eight scored with all eight starters recorded hits. Ace lefty Clayton Kershaw has been in Cy Young form since returning from injury. Kershaw followed his no hitter with eight shutout innings in a 2-0 decision at Kansas City.
I know Kershaw has had some trouble with St Louis from time to time but he has been very special lately and right or wrong I'm backing him...
