The Texas Rangers visit Camden Yards to take the field with the Baltimore Orioles on Monday.

I believe the Rangers can turn things around if they right the ship sooner then later which means now with the Athletics and Angels showing no signs of slowing. Texas had a chance to get something going Sunday with a struggling Colby Lewis coming up huge on the mound but the bats couldn't give him support. Lewis allowed a pair of runs through six frames but Joakim Soria gave up the winning run in the top of the 9th. The Rangers mustered eight hits with Robinson Chirinos leaving the yard and Adrian Beltre singling in another. The Rangers turn to left hander Joe Saunders on the hill to face the dangerous lineup of the Orioles. Saunders has struggled thus far with a 0-4 record and 5.19 ERA over seven 2014 starts.

Baltimore is one of the main challengers in the American League East but right now they are a bit on the inconsistent side. They have gotten both the arms and bats on the same page when they win but not sch in defeats and they need both to show up more often to be successful. The pitching was nowhere to be found in a 12-7 loss to visiting Tampa Bay on Sunday with Miguel Gonzalez letting in three in 4.2 innings while Evan Meek and Brian Matusz combined to allow nine runs in 3.1 frames. he offense revolved around Manny Machado and Ryan Flaherty who homered and drove in five. Baltimore is scheduled to send Ubaldo Jimenez to the mound in Monday's bout with the visiting Rangers. Jimenez is 2-8 with a 4.70 ERA in 16 outings where the team has gone 4-12.

I will start by saying I have seen better pitching match ups which is a nice way of saying the arms are bad. I am going with the home team but I'm not touching them...
