St Louis has been hot and cold throughout the season thus far and are trying to get hot once again to make another run at Milwaukee in the National League Central. The Cardinals have taked a few steps towards their goal with a 7-2 victory at San Francisco giving the team consecutive wins. Carlos Martinez came up big on the mound with a single run plated through five frames to up his record to 2-3. The offense launched a 14 hit attack that saw Jhonny Peralta go deep and drive in two while Martinez helped his own cause with a pair of RBI's. The Cardinals hope Lance Lynn gets back on the winning track when he faces the visting Marlins. Lynn dropped a 9-1 decision at Los Angeles where he gave up seven runs in only two innings.
I keep waiting for Lynn to regress a bit which could happen at anytime. I'm still willing to take a shot with him but I don't like laying chalk with him...
