Chicago White Sox vs. Houston Astros - 7/19/14

The Houston Astros Have shown some promise this season but they have been falling back over the past month and they lost again on Friday. Jose Altuve, Matt Dominguez, and Jonathan Singleton each had hits as the Astros scored two runs on three hits. Starting pitcher Scott Feldman allowed seven hits and three runs while striking out two over 7.0 innings to take the loss and fall to 4-7 for the season. For Saturday’s game the Astros start Dallas Keuchel who makes his fifth start in a row on the road. For the season Keuchel has allowed 109 hits and 41 earned runs while striking out 87 over 115.1 innings for a 9-5 record and a 3.20 ERA.

Chicago is 7-2 as a home favorite, 2-4 in their last six games, and 1-5 in Noesi’s last six starts. Houston is 9-3 against the AL Central, 8-19 in their last 27 games, and 7-3 in Keuchel’s last 10 road starts.

Noesi hasn’t been good but the Astros have been worse so I like Chicago in this spot.
